Before things get too crazy-busy, I wanted to wish you and your family the very merriest of Christmases and a holiday season overflowing with joy, peace and love. I love Christmas because it reminds us that–no matter the hard, painful stuff in our lives–we always have HOPE, because we are loved by God himself.

If this holiday season finds you miles away from where you’d like to be—either in location or circumstances—know you are not alone. You will get through, truly. This year, I’m missing my Dad, big time, but am focusing on great memories and the blessings in my life. I’m also reminding myself that even if the budget it stretched to the max, I can give a smile, a kind word, or a hug this holiday season. (There are also some great charities listed on my Make a Difference page.)

As Vince Gill sings, (on my favorite Christmas CD of all time), “Let there be peace on earth—and let it begin with me!”

Merry Christmas!

Manatee on the Silver River

With the temps dropping here in Florida, we’re seeing more and more manatees on the Silver River. They come looking for that nice warm 72-degree, spring-fed water. Here’s a little clip I took from the boat the other day. Isn’t he gorgeous? Enjoy!
