What I Am Thankful For

Happy Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

At our house, the turkey is doing the backstroke in the brine while the smell of pumpkin and apple pie fills the house. It’s dropped to a chilly 52 degrees here in Florida, so it feels like Thanksgiving season.

I have so very much to be grateful for, and you all are on my list! (You know I love lists, right?)

Thank you to my close friends and family who walk with me through this crazy thing called life. Where would I be without you?

Thank you, dear readers, who have taken the time to read this blog and have purchased my books. Not only that, so many of you have become friends and shared your stories with me as well. You have made this an incredible year and you all mean so very much to me.

A few weeks ago, Cat Hoort at Abingdon Press asked us what we were thankful for.  Here’s the awesome graphic she put together with my response…

By the way, if you haven’t already, go to #WhatIAmThankfulFor on twitter. Abingdon is using that hashtag to do some fun giveaways this month!

As we celebrate our many blessings this Thanksgiving, I know that the holiday rarely resembles the perfection we imagine it could be, or should be, or wish it would be. But would you join me in rejoicing in the blessings we DO have, the loved ones we share life with, the freedoms we enjoy?

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Consider yourself hugged!

I’d love to hear what you’re thankful for!
